For pharma and life sciences
Instrument ID tags and GMP equipment labels for pharma and biotech.
Equipment ID tags that carry the same IDs as your calibration and maintenance records, plus location labels for lab shelves, cold rooms, and warehouse zones.

Audits and traceability
A barcoded ID links each instrument to its calibration schedule.
Every scan of that ID adds a timestamped record in your system. Maintenance and calibration history build up against the right instrument. The report an auditor asks for starts from the number on the tag.

What goes on the tag
| Field | Why it is there |
|---|---|
| Equipment ID in text | Copied onto logbooks and certificates without a scanner |
| Barcode or Data Matrix | Scanned at calibration, PM, and inventory |
| QR code | A link to the record for phone and tablet scans |
| Site or building code | Keeps IDs unique across sites |
| Company name or logo | Whose instrument it is in a shared lab space |
| Department or color header | Tells QC, R&D, and manufacturing instruments apart |
| Serial number | Matches the serial in your qualification file |
We print your ID format as it stands, down to the check digit.
Equipment & instrument IDs
GMP equipment labels that carry the ID your records already use.
Balances, HPLCs, incubators, and filling-line equipment each have an ID that appears in logbooks, SOPs, and calibration records. The tag is where that ID lives on the instrument. It has to scan cleanly and stay put.
Shown: a tag we printed for Sana Biotechnology.
- Your ID format: site prefix, equipment class, and a number with leading zeros
- ParPlus polyester, printed under a laminate that resists solvents and abrasion
- ParVoid tags that leave “VOID” behind, so an ID can’t move to another instrument unnoticed
- Sizes down to .3″ × 1″ for small instruments and meters
Metrology & maintenance
Calibration asset tags that tie each instrument to its record.
Your calibration system schedules work by equipment ID. When the tag carries that ID as a barcode and in plain text, a technician can scan it or read it at the bench, and the result lands on the right instrument.
- Code 128, Data Matrix, or QR, in the format your calibration software reads
- The ID in plain text, so an outside calibration vendor can copy it onto the certificate
- A matching tab for the equipment logbook cover, printed with the same ID
- IDs for new instruments, in sequence after your last one
Labs & sample storage
Lab location labels for shelves, drawers, cabinets, and cold rooms.
Reference standards and retain samples are easy to find only when each shelf has a location your inventory system knows. We print the labels from your location list, in the order you’ll put them up.
- Barcode or QR, whichever your inventory system scans
- Freezer-grade materials and adhesives for cold rooms
- Removable labels for shelves that get reassigned between studies
- Color coding by lab group or storage condition
GMP warehouse & distribution
Rack labels color-coded for your quarantine, released, and rejected zones.
Incoming materials and finished goods move through status zones your quality system defines. Give each zone its own label color. A location scan tells your WMS which zone a pallet sits in, and pickers see the difference from the aisle.
- Rack, shelf, and floor labels laid out from your WMS location list
- Freezer-grade rack labels for walk-in coolers and freezers
- Pick-location labels with check digits for distribution picking
- Hanging aisle signs, dock door numbers, and floor markers for staging
How it works
Send your equipment list, a few current IDs, or your location list, and we lay out and print the labels.
1
Tell us what you’re labeling
Instruments, equipment, or locations, with the ID format and where the labels go. An export from your calibration or maintenance system works.
2
We set the construction
Size, material, and code type for your scanners, plus freezer-grade or chemical-resistant options where the location calls for them.
3
You approve a proof
Nothing prints until the layout and every ID are right.
4
Delivered in ID order
Printed in the order of your list. Metrology or the lab team applies them without sorting.
Options
If an instrument needs something the list doesn’t cover, we quote it as custom work.
Sizes & constructions
- .75″ × 2″, 1″ × 2″, and .675″ × 2″ for benchtop instruments
- .5″ × 1.5″ and .3″ × 1″ for small instruments
- 2-part and 4-part tags with matching tabs
- Code 128, Code 39, Data Matrix, or QR
- Prefixes, site codes, and check digits
Printing
- Company logo and site name
- Color header by department: QC, R&D, manufacturing
- Equipment description line
- A color per warehouse status zone
Materials
- ParPlus polyester (white or silver): printed under a protective laminate that resists solvents and abrasion.
- ParVoid tamper-evident: leaves the word “VOID” behind if someone removes it.
- ParDestruct vinyl: breaks into small pieces if anyone tries to peel it off.
- Freezer-grade and chemical-resistant constructions for cold rooms and chemical storage.
The online designer doesn’t offer Data Matrix or multi-site ID formats. We can price those from your equipment list.
FAQs
Questions pharma and biotech teams ask
Yes. Prefixes, site codes, leading zeros, and check digits all carry over. New tags continue from your last ID.
Your QA team. Tell us the requirements your SOPs name, and we’ll confirm what we can produce.
ParPlus is printed under a 0.001 laminate that resists solvents and abrasion. Before you order, test samples with the chemicals used near your equipment.
It depends on what reads them. Code 128 or Code 39 for handheld barcode scanners, Data Matrix when the tag has to be small, and QR when staff scan with phones. We confirm the format with you before we print.
Yes. Select Purchase Order at checkout and add the PO number. Card payment works too.
The online designer takes orders from 250 tags, starting at $122.50 with free shipping. For multi-site programs, Data Matrix, custom sizes, or more than 10,000 tags, request a quote.
Yes. Freezer-grade materials and adhesives are designed to stay on and scan in low-temperature conditions. When you request samples, say whether the labels go on before or after the room is cold.
Yes. Each site’s order can use the same layout with its own site code. An ID tag in one building then looks like one in the next.
Yes. A ParVoid tag leaves “VOID” printed on the instrument’s surface once it’s lifted, and a ParDestruct tag comes apart in small pieces.
