One number, four places
The main tag goes on the asset. Three matching tabs go on the receiving paperwork, the asset file, and anywhere else you track it.

We continue the numbering you already use: starting number, prefix, number of digits, and check digits. The spreadsheet or the last tag in the series is all we need.

Materials & security
Compare the three standard materials
Every standard tag is 0.002 material with a 0.001 aggressive pressure-sensitive adhesive. Pick by what should happen if someone tries to remove it.

ParVoid tags leave the word “VOID” on the surface and on the tag when someone pulls them off. ParDestruct tags break into small pieces, so they can’t be moved to another asset.
